BELINDA BRADY
Modern Languages graduate (French and Spanish) with a keen interest in other languages and currently learning Chinese. My background is in Human Resources so I was able to share my knowledge of recruitment processes and provide some tips on completing application forms and targeting CV’s to a specific role.
I took the CELTA course in 2017 and started volunteering at Action Language as a Teaching Assistant and then taught a few classes but I then had to take a full time HR role. However, I am hoping to return to volunteering at Action Language again in the near future.
HILARY BENNISON
Dr Hilary Bennison has been a volunteer teacher at Action Language for four years, following retirement. She has worked in adult education all her life, initially as an adult careers adviser and most recently with the Open University, where she carried out a variety of roles as student adviser, part-time tutor and latterly Assistant Director of the Regional Office based in Gateshead.
Hilary developed the materials on “Voluntary Work as a way of gaining practical experience and building up a CV” in collaboration with Dr Sara Ganassin.
