Sandra Radinger is a teacher of English, Philosophy and Psychology and has taught German as a foreign and second language to pupils and refugees in Vienna and Strasbourg. She has conducted research on English as a lingua franca in refugee-local encounters and has recently published an article on the relationship between language awareness and agency (https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/09658416.2018.1435674?journalCode=rmla20) . Her research interests lie in language as a means for and product of social interaction with a focus on what it means to ‘communicate successfully’ in the modern and lingua-culturally diverse society.
